Forumotion is one of the worst forum hosting sites that I've tried out. Some of the software's themes don't work properly, not to mention how many features they have installed that are completely worthless and guaranteed that no forum uses them.

Note: I had this experiance about two years ago, but I doubt that much has changed in this period of time.

They're terrible. They don't give backups, use an outdated PhpBB2 version, and have generally bad support who don't take the users suggestions. I would recommend anyone starting a forum to avoid them and use a real PhpBB like prophpbb.com Smile

I think forumotion is only good for people just starting out. If you want a successful forum, don't use it

when i use to have a free forum i used forum promotion and i found it to be great the themes and the ease of use where so easy

Forumotion is ok, but it is easy to get hacked. And doesn't have much storage.
